Announcing New COVID-19 Related Special Grant Cycle

News

Spencer Foundation is issuing a call for proposals for a COVID-19 Related Special Grant Cycle to support education research projects that will contribute to understanding the rapid shifts in education in this time of crisis and change. As with other Spencer grant programs, this program is “field-initiated.” We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis with budgets up to $50,000 for projects ranging from one to three years. We will review applications received by May 4th, again on May 18th, and again on June 8th. Our goal for this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious, and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in education in these times.

Please note: The COVID-19 Related Research Grants are distinct from our regular Small Grant Program. We will begin accepting the next round of Small Grant applications May 1

Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. We do understand the enormous stress of the moment and the difficulty it poses for upcoming deadlines. If you are unable to meet the June 8 deadline, we encourage you to submit your proposal to our Small Grant Program by July 1. Funding for COVID-19 related scholarship will not be going away after our COVID-19 Related Special Grant Cycle ends. It will simply run through our normal grant channels.

Dear Colleague,
This week has been very stressful for many of us in the US following the killing of George Floyd. We have had to put our proposal application to a hold. Please, can you possibly extend the June 8th deadline? That would be helpful.
Thank you!
Florence
